After seeing some of the window shutters Cheshire had on offer I decided to get some for my home.  We had just moved in and we wanted to create a bright airy feel but are conscious about our energy emissions.  Although curtains can be great at stopping heat from escaping they can really weigh down a room and we could not find any that we really loved.

After researching the Cheshire window shutters we found that they were really good insulators. In the winter they can be used to keep the heat in and the cold air out.  They are also brilliant in the summer for keeping the room nice and cool without having to sit in a darkened room.

We alter the louvers of the Cheshire window shutters and allow the light to come into the room slightly.  This stops the room from overheating as the direct sunlight is filtered.   Not only is this a real bonus, it also improves the privacy in our home.

No More Nosy Neighbours

We decided to have the window shutters from Cheshire in our bedroom and bathroom.  This is because of the amount of privacy and light control that they give over other types of blinds.  Our bedroom is especially over looked and it can be depressing having the curtains drawn all the time.  The window shutters from Cheshire allow us to let in some light without having to worry about people looking in.
